Syzygium are the dominant genus of Australia's commercial hedging industry -- fast-growing, dense, and available in psyllid-resistant varieties that are essential for modern specifications. Cape Nursery holds PBR licensing for Syzygium Pinnacle, one of the most important psyllid-resistant screening plants available.
Specifier notes. Specified across commercial hedging projects from boundary screens to formal clipped lines. A core species in our screening range, suited to fast establishment of visual and noise buffers.
How we supply it. Demonstrates strong psyllid resistance, removing the most common defect on competing lilly pilly cultivars. Plant Breeders Rights variety — supplied under licensed propagation, with traceability through the production chain. Fast establishment makes it a strong choice on projects where a hedge needs to read as a hedge inside 12–18 months.
Cape Nursery production. All Cape Nursery stock is grown 7 km from the Pacific Ocean, hardened to coastal sun and wind from propagation rather than acclimatised at point of sale. Specimens leave us biosecurity-traceable, and root-checked. National delivery is available; collection from Ewingsdale is welcomed Mon–Thu 7:30am–4pm.
